Full description
Devon County Council, 1977, Survey of Roadside Stones, Okehampton Division (Report - Survey). SDV348247.
Stone inscribed 'B. B'.
Jenkinson, T., 2005 - 2025, Old A30 Launceston to Exeter (Report - Survey). SDV323480.
Site visits 21st March 2007 and 28th January 2024. Boundary stone dating from c.1822 located approximately 100 metres east of turn to the once Poltimore B+B and parking area on the north side of road in the hedge/bank tight on the road.
A worn granite stone with an OS benchmark on the face. Inscribed BB for ?Belstone Bounds. There is some black paint residue on the base. It is only visible in the winter. The surrounding vegetation was cleared in 2024.
