A cropmark of a ditch approximately 2.5m wide is visible on aerial photographs of 1996 defining a rectilinear enclosure circa 40m long and 36m wide, on the north--west facing slopes north of Tower Plantation, Ashcombe. A break in the cropmark nearly 6m wide might define an entrance near the south-east corner of the enclosure. No evidence of a bank was identifiable on the available photographs. The cropmark is interpreted as evidence of an enclosure of probable later prehistoric to Roman date.
