Full description

Department for Culture, Media and Sport, 1999, Three Bowl Barrows 160 Metres North-west of Venn Cottages Forming Part of a Round Barrow Cemetery (Schedule Document). SDV340089.

The westernmost of three bowl barrows which lie 160 metres north-west of Venn Cottages, situated on a high upland ridge which overlooks the valley of a tributary to the River Torridge. These three barrows form part of a larger cemetery which lies along this ridge. A ciruclar mound 26.7 metres in diameter, up to 0.5 metres high. The surrounding quarry ditch is preserved as a buried feature.
