A V-shaped ditch aligned east to west was excavated during evaluation trenching by Wessex Archaeology in 2003. The ditch was 1.4 metres wide by circa 0.4 metres deep. In the northern part of the trench a small north to south aligned gully circa 20 metres long by 0.3 metres wide and 0.1 metres deep may have been the remains of a field boundary.
