Environment Agency, 1998-2014, LiDAR DSM data (1m resolution), LIDAR ST2404 Environment Agency DTM 01-JAN-1998 to 30-SEP-2014 (Cartographic). SDV359178.

Linear and curvilinear earthwork ditches and banks were visible. Simple Local Relief visualisations showed the subtle earthworks most effectively.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2016-2018, The Blackdown Hills AONB and East Devon River Catchments National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV359463.

Evidence of a former field system of probable medieval to post-medieval date was visible on DAP aerial photographs of 1988 and digital images derived from lidar data, as cropmarks and slight earthwork banks and ditches defining rectilinear and curvilinear field enclosures. The visible evidence corresponded to field boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Stockland or the Ordnance Survey First Edition 25 inch map and the enclosure boundaries were therefore not been transcribed as part of the NMP survey. No other archaeological features were readily identifiable by the survey and it is presumed that it was these features referred to by the above authority as ‘Enclosure’.
