The site is terraced into the hillside, adjacent to the coast path. Only the north wall survives to any height. The site is not presently managed although it is understood that English Nature intend to remove some of the rhododendron in the near future and also replace a signboard showing the geology with one on cultural heritage to include historic photographs of the cottage.
