Does not appear to be present on tithe map of 1839, but irregularly shaped pond discernible on os map of 1887. Still shown on os map of 1967, and was probably filled in during development of dairy farm in 1970s, when new water-distribution system installed. Position of pond just visible as slight earthwork depression (national trust).
