Summary

Crossing describes a mutilated cross at this farm, lying at the back of the farm buildings. Used as a gate post, and the head and part of the arms had been knocked off. Of rough rectangular section, with traces of an incised cross - crosslet on one face. Apparently now disappeared.

Site of stone cross - not located.
(07/11/1951) (Centred SX 6885 8695) Crossing describes a mutilated cross at Waye Barton farm (SX 68 NE 5), lying at the back of the farm buildings. It had been used as a gatepost and the head and greater portion of the arms had been knocked off. It was of roughly rectangular section and bore traces of an incised cross-crosslet on one face. It has apparently now disappeared (Citing Crossing, 1902).
(07/07/1974) The farmer has no knowledge of the present whereabouts of this cross.
