Gerrard, S. + Greeves, T. A. P., 1993, Summary Report on the Second Season of Excavation at Upper Merrivale Tin Blowing and Stamping Mill 1992 (SX55197664), 4-8 (Article in Serial). SDV364369.

Summary of the 1992 season of work at Upper Merrivale; probable 17th century tin stamping mill, with at least one mortar stone in situ. Questions resolved over the lack of evidence for stamping contemporary with the smelting furnace; appears that when the furnace was operating in Mill A, stamping was being carried out in Mill B. Stamping mill was probably crushing tin slag as well as ore.
Also evidence found of probable prehistoric/Romano-British smelting in the vicinity. See report for full details.
