Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, Untitled Source (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV24.

Vis=30/7/1974 (os). One of a group of 13 hut circles forming an open settlement with an associated field system, extending for 200m along the east side of buttern hill. In good condition. See sx68ne/18 for full details on the huts and associated field system (os).

Vis=2/3/1971 (ancient monuments) well preserved. Entrance probably on e side. W side built into later field bank.

Stone circle 380m northwest of 'north creaber' survives as a circular double orthostatic wall surrounding an internal area 10.4m diameter. The wall is 1.2m wide x up to 1.5m high. A later drystone wall was built on top of the western wall of the hut. The original entrance probably faces east but has been blocked (am).
