Keene, B. + Butler, D., 1997, Untitled Source, 27 (Monograph). SDV35794.

The Tithe map of 1842 shows one building with Zeal Lane (still marked today by two remnant old oak trees on its east side) running north towards Hayne.

Land Use Consultants, 1998, Knightshayes Park Survey Plan (Report - Survey). SDV341869.

Visited on 16/03/1998. Located on west side of park, against west side of stream. Earthworks forming a shallow hollow way out of bottom of valley, with 2 mature oaks growing on north-east side. This feature is the remains of a pre-enparkment route through the area, and is almost certainly 'Zeal Lane' as marked on the tithe map of 1842 (though may be later addition as it appears to cut through one of lower leats in catch meadow (site 6). Probably associated with track (site 8). Other details: Appendix 5: site 26.
