Summary

A large turf covered cairn on the crest of Holne Ridge 1km south of Horns Cross. The slightly disturbed feature measures 26.4m in diameter and stands around 0.8m high. There is no evidence of a cist or kerb nor any signs of unrecorded antiquarian excavations.

(26/05/1999) ring cairn on Holne Ridge situated 1180m north east of Ryder's Hill. Ring cairn. Diameter 22m, height 0.9m. 27.5m diameter mound. On all sides except the west there is a 1m wide and 0.3m high bank surrounding the cairn. Total dimensions of the monument are 30.4m by 30.4 m. Bilberry, heather and gorse. Erosion on SE side of the mound.

Ring cairn on Holne Ridge 860 metres north west of Hapstead Ford and 1180 metres north east of Ryders Hill. The mound is flat topped 22 metres in diameter and 0.9 metres in height surrounded on 3 sides by a 1 metre wide and 0.3 metre high bank. Scheduled.
