Summary

Stone hut circle forming part of a prehistoric settlement 350 metres north-west of Yellowmeade Farm. Diameter 4.6m. Single orthostat wall 1.1m wide, 0.5m high. A 175 degree facing gap lined on the east represents a doorway. This hut has been truncated in later years by the addition of an 0.8m wide and 0.35m high rubble bank wall.

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX57SE15, Hut F (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV271768.

(17/08/1950) SX 5645 7455. Hut circle F. Diameter - major axis 5.0m, minor axis 4.0m. Roughly oval in plan. Wall height 0.3m. Condition fair, stones turf-covered. Entrance to south.

Yellowmeade Hut Circle '6' of 6.0 metres by 4.0 metres to the north-east of the enclosure where nothing remains of the upper half of the hut, the original cross wall forming the straight side of the surviving D-shaped building. A single door-post remains at the south-west entrance.
