A group of prospecting pits cutting through an area of ridge and furrow on Halsanger Common. The pits have silted and survive as shallow hollows 1-2 metres diameter with small heaps of spoil on the downhill side. The generally small number of pits in this area suggests the search for tin was unsuccessful in this location.
