Full description

Exeter Archaeology, 2000, Untitled Source (Report - Assessment). SDV337181.

Stone architectural fragment recovered from site of new dwelling within Mamhead House Estate. Formed part of window and contains a glazing rebate. Has several layers of lime mortar and flecks of red paint. Found in made-up ground containing material believed to have been deposited here from other parts of estate. Likely to be of 19th century date (may be earlier), and to have come from one of houses on the estate.
