Summary

Vis=-/11/1996 (ea) 6 pieces of flint, some of which had been struck. Found in topsoil stripped from working corridor, during installation of new gas pipeline to s of taw valley creamery. Also noticeable concentration of slag, sample of 12 pieces recovered. Does not appear to have iron content. May have been brought into field via manuring. Also 2 possible fragments of roman roof tile, and pottery from medieval to modern periods (ea).
