A pond and a sluice are shown on the 1880s-1890s first edition Ordnance Survey map just to the north of Bodstone Barton. The water may have been used to drive a waterwheel housed in one of the farm buildings.

Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880s, Ordnance Survey (Cartographic). SDV848.

A pond and 'sluice' are shown on OS 25" (1880s) map to the north of 'Bodstone Barton' and a 'well' is shown to the east with a channel to the pond.
