A new barn with a threshing machine driven by water is listed at Ford Farm in an advertisement of 1814. A waterwheel, grist mill and threshing machine are listed in a sales notice of 1884. The millstones are noted as 'not now in use' in a subsequent sales catalogue of 1926. In 2003 the barn is recorded as being rather derelict but with an old threshing machine inside. The line of the leat was still visible.
