Full description
Piper, N., 1981, An Investigation of Some Archaeological Features In and Around the Parish of Dalwood, 4 (Un-published). SDV112611.
Two flint hand axes were found on Horner Hill. One found by A Churchill in 1968 about 15 centimetres long and pointed of greyish flint. The other found by K Carter in 1975 on the top plateau of the hill was an Acheulian type hand axe about 12 centimetres long of very dark flint. Both have been lost.
