A probable golf course earthwork is visible on aerial photographs of 1940s as an oval or roughly circular platform or terrace. On aerial photographs of 1941 he earthwork, probably the remains of a putting green, is flanked by two smaller earthwork pits, possibly bunkers or sand traps. Further golf course earthworks are clearly visible in fields approximately 200 metres to the north on aerial photographs of 1946, corresponding roughly with 'Golf links' annotated on the Ordnance Survey six inch third edition map.
