Full description

Waterhouse, R., 2000, East Portlemouth Heritage Appraisal: An Archaeological History of the Parish (Report - non-specific). SDV340515.

Site known as woodberry may have been an iron age ovoid enclosure covering about a third of a hectare. Part of rampart fossilised in later curving hedgebank. Name comes from Anglo-Saxon 'burh' a fortification in or near a wood which appears to have occupied the valley to the southeast.
