DCC, 1992, DAP 14401, DAP 14401/27-29 01-JUL-1992 (VI) (Aerial Photograph). SDV354676.

A cropmark of an L-shaped ditch is visible.
Many of the aerial photographs consulted are copies of DAPs held by the Historic England Archive. These have been recorded here as separate sources as there is a possibility that variations in processing could result in images on which archaeological features show differently than on the original images.

Hegarty, C., Knight, S. and Sims, R., 2018-2019, The South Devon Coast to Dartmoor Aerial Investigation and Mapping Survey. Area 1, Haldon Ridge to Dart Valley (Interpretation). SDV361305.

An L-shaped cropmark of a ditch up to 3m wide and up to circa 73m long is visible on the south-east facing slopes south of Luscombe Wood, Dawlish.
The cropmark might be evidence of an enclosure of later-prehistoric to Roman date. The enclosed area defined by the cropmark is also of similar character to roadside enclosure depicted on the Tithe Map for Dawlish circa 50m to the west.
The date of the enclosure is therefore unknown but is potentially of later-prehistoric or post-medieval date.
