Full description
Ministry of Public Building and Works, 10/03/1970, Hut Circle Village 600 yds SE of Swincombe (Schedule Document). SDV356121.
[Part of a] series of hut circles associated with an extensive field wall system comprising presumably one economic and social unit. Hut f: 15 feet diameter. Cavity wall construction. South-east facing entrance. Linked with (e) due south.

Site visit 26th July 1988. Hut Circle T at SX6474 7231. Internal diam 3.5 metres north-south by 4.5 metres east-west. Rubble walling generally 2 metres wide but spread considerably on the north and south up to 3.6 metres. Edging stones, mostly internal, line the north-west arc. Wall height is between 0.25 and 0.4 metres internally and 0.35 and 0.8 metres externally. Entrance in the east arc, 0.9 metres wide, with a fallen flanking post. A short flanking wall leads south-east from the south side of the entrance. Interior is level and contains a few scattered stones in the southern half. A bulge in the west wall, over which some edging stones lie, may indicate a re-build. Condition good.
