Full description

Ministry of Public Building and Works, 10/03/1970, Hut Circle Village 600 yds SE of Swincombe (Schedule Document). SDV356121.

[One of a] series of hut circles associated with an extensive field wall system comprising presumably one economic and social unit. Hut l: 15 feet diameter. No apparent door.

Site visit 26th July 1988. Hut circle B at SX64587221. Internal diam 3.9 metres east-west by 6.3 metres north-south. Rubble walling, incomplete on the north, 1.3-2.2 metres wide and 0.45 metres high. No clear entrance. The interior is irregular and undulating and contains much scattered stone. Condition poor.
