A greensand macehead was found built into a cobbled floor of a c1838 outhouse at the rear of 69 north street, ashburton. Ovate c14cm x 10cm x 4cm with an hourglass-shaped perforation + a fairly rough pitted surface. The artefact is likely to be deposited in ashburton museum (waterhouse).
