Summary

Gas Works shown on the 1888 and 1905 Ordnance Survey maps. A gasometer is depicted on the 1954 map but in a different location to the original. By 1972 a garage and pump house occupied the site and a neighbouring house, called Riverside. Another Gasometer is shown on historic mapping at the southern end of Mill Lane Cottages.
