Full description

Grinsell, L. V., 1978, Dartmoor Barrows, 141 (Article in Serial). SDV273224.

Site visited on 13th September 1973. Cairn, large hollow centre. Diameter 9.0 metrse, height 0.9 metres.

Looks similar to the trial pits in the area since it has a hole in the top. Visible on 1979 aerial photograph.

Holne Lee N cairn at SX68847032 of 8.5 metres diameter by 0.8 metres high. Cairn shown to the south of the field system at 'Venford Reservoir East'.

Field Investigation on 7th July 1977. At SX 6884 7031 is a small round cairn 9 metres diameter and 0.6 metres high constructed of small boulders now turf covered and lies near the summit at the north-east end of a small ridge at 335 metres above OD. There is a disturbance 2.3 metres square and 0.7 metres deep at its centre. There is no trace of a surrounding circle of stones.
Field Investigation on 18th April 1996. At SX 6886 7032 the cairn shape is more ovoid measuring 10 metres north to south by 9.5 metres.

A cairn situated within the field system at SX68847032 survives as a 9.7 metre diameter flat-topped mound standing up to 0.8 metres high. A small hollow in the centre of the cairn suggests that it has been partially excavated or robbed.
