Summary

A double-walled hut, internal diameter 6.0 metres, with walling 1.3 metres thick and 0.6 metres high. It is on a north-east slope but has a levelled interior with an orthostatic entrance on the south-east.

Full description

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1950, SX67SE46 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV140782.

(Visited 27/4/1950) Hut circle, 7.5 metres in diameter. Walls consist of large turf covered stones 1.5 metres wide by 0.7 metres high. This hut circle was probably of the double walled type but difficult to say for certain in its present state.

(03/12/1977) Five widely spaced hut circles, centred at SX 681716, occur on the crest and north slopes of a spur between 310 and 330m OD. Each seems to be associated with a single rectilinear field of from 0.5 to 1.0 ha within the local reave system.
SX 6802 7180. A type 2 hut, internal diameter 6.0 metres, with walling 1.3 metres thick and 0.6 metres high. It is on a north-east slope but has a levelled interior with an orthostatic entrance on the south-east. Hut circles surveyed at 1:10 000 on PFD.

Hut circle within a quadrant enclosure attached to a reave. Forms an integral part of the parallel reave system and enclosure could perhaps be described as a field. Visible on 1977 aerial photograph.
