Paradise Lawn is a Victorian development of six villas around a lawned garden. It was probably originally a small court of houses leading up to North Street similar to Touts Court (to the east), but several of the houses on the south side were destroyed by a fire in 1878. The following year most of the properties were substantially rebuilt.
