Bus shelter c4m long built by randall wells in 1925 of red sandstone + volcanic trap under a thatched roof. Flagged floor with a bench seat of four units + a memorial plaque to ellen acland on the rear wall (nt).

The stone and thatch bus shelter is a welcome addition built in the 1920s which respects local traditional methods of building construction in a contemporary context. Other details: Map.

Bus Shelter. 1925. By Randall Wells. Red sandstone and volcanic trap under hipped thatched roof. Internal length about 4 metres. Rounded ends externally, splayed internally, straight rear wall, open front with corbelled jambs, timber wall plate around whole with shallow chamfer, slightly arched over entrance. Flagged floor. In the rear wall is placed a memorial plaque bearing the legend: 'Presented by her parents in memory of Ellen Acland'. Contains bench seat of 4 units.
