Summary

A cropmark bank and ditch forming the southern corner of a possible prehistoric enclosure is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1996, to the northwest of Little Hall, Atherington.

A linear feature roughly 140m long is visible on aerial photographs (p1). It runs for 138m from NE - SW as a single ditch, then curves to run SE - NW and becomes visible as a single bank for the remainder of its length. The feature is likely to be the remains of an elongated enclosure of uncertain origin or function. It has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
