Full description
Exeter Archaeology, 2001, Archaeological Assessment of Proposed Redevelopment at Wolborough Street, Newton Abbot, 11, figure 9 (Report - Assessment). SDV310051.
The boundary wall which runs westward from Union Bridge to the 19th century industrial building north of the River Lemon contains building scars of unknown date. The property would be affected by the 2001 redevelopment proposals.

Wall 2 metres high of limestone rubble with occasional brick. A series of scars indicate the positions of abutting walls and possibly machinery. The maps of circa 1790 show a track at this location so the boundary wall was probably built in the mid-late 19th century.
