List of fish traps recorded as shipping hazards on 19th century charts. Heanton Court East, number 15, may or may not be extant.

Extract from Denham map of 1832 shows fish traps as chevron-like features. Members of North Devon Archaeological Society appear to have viewed the weir, which had previously been located. Other details: Photograph.

Heanton Court East, number 15. A few posts were noted following the survey of weir number 16 in August. These appeared to follow the line of a small silted channel between bedrock outcrops.

In the North Devon Archaeological Society newsletter of autumn 2002 there appears to be some confusion between Heanton Court East and Ashford Kiln fish weirs. The photograph refers to "number 16 on the Denham map", which is the Ashford Kiln weir.
