Site visited on 9th May 2002. Leat embankment 1230 metres south-west of Eylesbarrow, forming part of Eylesbarrow Tin Mine. Part stone-faced embankment standing up to 0.9 metres high. The leat it carries is 0.5 metres wide and 0.2 metres deep. This leat carried water to serve Stamping Mill Number 5 and the Smelting House. Covered in grass, heather and rushes.

When the smelting house was established at Eylesbarrow Tin Mine the leat was diverted from Stamping Mill Number 4 via the Smelting House and Stamping Mill Number 5 and on to Stamping Mill Number 6. The leat embankment is shown in Figure 17 as a quadrilinear feature to the north-west of the smelting house.
