A small approximately rectangular earthwork depression is visible on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The depression is situated within a shallow platform earthwork, flanked to the south by a ditch. The depression corresponds with the site of a building or cottage depicted on the Tithe Map, within a plot recorded as 'Cottage and Orchard' (Plot 770). The cottage is depicted on the First Edition OS map as 'Deep Holnest' situated within a curvilinear enclosure, the bounds of which correspond to the platform earthwork. The cottage passed out of use by the early 20th century, but the plot remains depicted, in part, until the mid to late 20th century.
