Summary

A possible prehistoric barrow to the east of Northcombe was identified from an Ordnance Survey aerial photograph by the 'devon committee for rescue archaeology' during a survey of c1978. The barrow is also visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs taken in 1947.

Possible site of a prehistoric barrow identified from an os air photograph by 'devon committee for rescue archaeology' during a survey c1978. No details recorded + no traces were found during fieldwork in 2002. Figure 7.1 locates the possible barrow at ngr sx464-960- (weddell).
