Summary

One of a group of seven unenclosed hut circles in a settlement north of Hemstone Rocks in Fernworthy Forest. This hut of 3.5 metres diameter with walls 1.0 metres wide by 0.5 metres high has a series of enclosure walls located just south of it

Fernworthy Hemstone Rocks (F) Hut circle (3F)
Hut circle 43 metres south-east of hut 1F. Diameter 3.3 metres. On a platform site, cut into a south-east facing slope. Unable to determine thickness of walls. Tallest stone measures 0.35 metres. Has twice been planted over. Series of enclosure walls to the south of this hut.
February 1976. Posts ringing clearance zone enclosing 3F and 4F and a series of enclosure walls. All agreements carried out.
1955 Spooner/Dixon report: (B) Region north of the South Teign, (Froggymeade, Toms Hill and Hemstone), site no.14. Not identified.
