Fernworthy Plantation. Toms Hill. 3E. Hut cicle 6.5 metres diameter. Stone wall 1.4 metres thick. Not investigated or planted over.
February 1976. 8 posts ring clearance zone. Trees on north and west side are within falling distance.
Included in 1955 Spooner and Dixon report (B) Region North of the South Teign (Froggymeade, Toms Hill and Hemstone) Site No. 10.

Site visit 28th April 1997. Hut circle at SX64968415 forming part of unenclosed hut circle settlement. Diameter 6.0 metres. Single and double orthostat wall 1.3 metres wide, 0.5 metres high. Gap facing south-east may represent the doorway. A substantial pit on the south side, 5.0 metres by 2.4 metres by 0.4 metres deep, may represent the remnants of a drainage ditch around the hut.

Fernworthy. Toms Hill. Five hut circles 1-4B, 6B. Site visit 27th Septebmer 1996. Hut circles within a large clearing on the north side of the track. All the sites are well marked but the marker posts are loose and need consolidating. The hut circles are difficult to identify, however, as they are covered in long grass and gorse is widespread throughout the clearance area and may need to be removed.
