Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

The double ditched feature is shown as a field boundary on the 19th century map.

Several post-medieval & modern field boundaries were identified including a double ditched feature in the northern part of the site. Plough scars & quarry pits were also recorded & the artefacts recovered included clay pipe, coal, iron slag, glass, tile & brick.
