Summary

Excavation at the site of a circular feature + elongated ditch to the north of the main cropmark revealed that it may have been a ditch which was dug to extract clay for an industrial purpose. Sherds of medieval pottery were recovered from the upper layer. The ditch had been partly filled sometime after the c14 to c15 possibly to make a trackway across the feature (uglow).
