Link trainer buildings were the first flight simulators to help learning to fly and navigate with no visibility. They comprised an enclosed windowless box which contained the pilot's seat and basic controls. The box was later mounted on a pivot to give rotation, pitch and bank. The simulated movement was automatically marked out on a table map. See report for more information.
