Full description

ACE Archaeology Club, 1999, Winkleigh Airfield Survey (Un-published). SDV20447.

M and E Plinth of brick construction. Not shown on AM plan. This structure is now roofed and used as a store. In very good condition. Other details: Site 464.


ACE Archaeology Club, 2008, Winkleigh Airfield, 12-13 (Report - Survey). SDV359876.

These buildings contained relays and electrical equipment. Constructed of brick, the walls topped with concrete imbedded with broken glass. No windows. Structurally sound although the doors are generally missing. Steel bolts still embedded in the concrete floor which secured the generators. See report for details of individual buildings.
