Full description
Royal Air Force, 1946 - 1949, Royal Air Force Aerial Photographs (Aerial Photograph). SDV342938.
A compound containing two buildings and a possible mast visible. The compound measures approximately 60 metres by 45 metres, and is accessed by at track leading west to the road. Map object based on this Source.

The survey of Winkleigh Airfield by ACE Archaeology club in 1999 compared the 1945 plan with surviving structures. Two buildings survive in good condition. Other details: Sties 458-460.
