43 High Street, phase 5. The 19th century saw the complete development of this area, with the construction of Pugsley's Court, two rows of small terraced houses running east to west along the property. They are recorded on the 1888 survey of the town. Pugsley's Court was eventually demolished in the slum clearances of the 1950s and to provide rear access to the High Street shop.
