Full description

Newman,, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV141348.

The 2003 survey by english heritage found a well-preserved butter cooler built into the eastern bank of the stream. It consisted of a semi-circular stone-lined hollow cut into the bank with a roof of stone slabs & an opening 0.6m x 1.25m at the front (newman).
