Full description

Whiteaway, T., 2004, Barrows, Tumuli, Standing Stones, Beacon at Lamerton (Report - Assessment). SDV342328.

Site of a boundary marker depicted as 'Grey Mare' on the 1835 'Heathfield Inclosure' map on the parish boundary between Lamerton and Milton Abbot. The Lamerton Glebe terriers of 1601-1628 mention a 'great stone' on the west called the 'Grey Meare'.
