Full description

Gated entrance to wide driveway to Gerston Farm shown on 19th century map.

Gate piers approximately 50 metres to the north-east of Gerston Farmstead was Listed on 26th January 1967. Gate piers built in the late 17th century of squared and coursed slatestone rubble with a chamfered plinth, The right-hand pier has an ogee cornice with shaped neck and granite ball finial. The other pier has lost its cap and finial. Other details: LBS Number 100883.
