Site of 'Quarry' shown on 1887 25 inch Ordnance Survey map between 'Quarries Lane' and 'Quarry Road'. A small triangular field to the east of the road junction was recorded as 'Ridgeway Green Quarries' in 1840 suggesting the quarry extended further west. The quarry has been filled in.
