Full description
Ormerod, G. W., 1867, Notes on the Carboniferous Beds Adjoining the Northern Edge of the Granite of Dartmoor, 125 (Article in Serial). SDV227353.
13 Ivy Tor; copper, some bismuth reported. Marked by some slight open cuttings on the south side of the River Taw. Latterly it was worked in conjunction with the Belstone Mines until 1892. Ivy Tor mine, part of Belstone Consols, on River Tavy. Some bismuth found in the mispickel.

Slight remains of the Ivy Tor and Taw River 19th century copper mines can be found on oppposite sides of the river in Belstone Cleave. The right bank passes two adits of Ivy Tor mine and the foundations of buildings below the site of the shaft. The mines were abandoned in 1892 when the workings were flooded.
