The southern linhay in the western yard was built in the earlier 19th century and is contemporary with the adjoining cottate. It is a long eight bay building facing north into the yard with a cobbled floor. The originally open front is carried on oak posts. The south wall is cob on stone rubble footings under a corrugated iron roof which continues over the gateway. The hayloft floor has been lowered from the level of the eastern bay. Several of the beams are reused from a late 16th or early 17th century house. The roof was repaired in 2002.
The gateway appears to have been inserted through the east end, ninth bay of the linhay during the later 19th century refurbishment of the yard.
